Finally fixed the squeaky bike. It was the seat, not the pedals. Three weekends of my life I won’t get back.
The Internet Died...
But You Can Revive It
Filter suspected AI-generated writing.
In today’s ever-evolving digital landscape, embracing innovation is not just a choice—it’s a necessity. Let’s delve into the transformative power of connection.
Illustrative sample. This animation does not run the detector.Anyone else keep a list of books they lend out? Mine has turned into a very small missing persons database.
Filter on
A feed is better when you trust the people creating it. Slop Blocker gives you a reversible filter for suspected AI writing.
Why we’re building this ↗Private by design
The bundled detector runs on your device. Post text isn’t sent to an AI service for scoring.
Hidden isn’t gone
Every collapsed item has a Reveal button. Open anything you want to read.
Room for ordinary replies
Comments and replies face a stricter hiding threshold than posts. The detector still makes mistakes.
A useful filter.
An imperfect detector.
One familiar-data benchmark for the detector, using Balanced post settings. See the full results for performance across different kinds of writing.
0.97% of source-labelled human writing hidden
5,620 AI texts · 24,416 human texts
Familiar data observed during development. These are benchmark outcomes, not measured accuracy on your feed. Labels describe dataset provenance, not content quality.

Does it block all AI content?
No. It classifies text on supported parts of five sites. It can miss AI writing and incorrectly hide human writing. Images, videos and the whole web are outside its coverage.
Does it upload anything I read?
The extension scores post text on your device using a bundled model. It doesn’t need an inference service, account or telemetry.
Is it in the Chrome Web Store?
Not yet. This is a developer preview installed with Chrome’s Load unpacked option. The download page walks you through it.
Do I have to pay?
No, it will always be free, but you can donate to help support the project.
